How BrandPulse works

From public conversation to a transparent brand pulse.

BrandPulse is an AI-assisted brand sentiment analysis tool. It searches available public sources, identifies relevant conversations and separates direct customer opinion from wider market context before presenting the evidence in one view.

Search a brand

The process

Four steps, with the evidence kept visible.

01

Match the brand

BrandPulse uses the brand name, market and verified official website to distinguish the right organisation from similarly named businesses.

02

Collect conversations

BrandPulse checks available public sources including YouTube, Trustpilot, Reddit, Bluesky and news. Paid social sources are included when available, and every source card shows whether it contributed.

03

Analyse context

AI-assisted classification interprets the full available text, identifies sentiment and themes, and checks whether a result is genuinely relevant to the selected brand.

04

Explore the pulse

Review the score, confidence, themes and source mix, then open the original conversations before deciding what the evidence means for the brand.

Two evidence layers

Customer sentiment and market context are not the same thing.

Separating them prevents news coverage, brand-owned posts or match schedules from distorting what customers actually feel.

Customer Pulse

Direct, opinion-bearing customer reviews, comments and experiences contribute to the sentiment score.

Market conversations

News, creator coverage, brand-owned content and general market mentions remain visible for context but do not affect the Customer Pulse.

Scoring and confidence

A score describes the evidence—not its certainty.

BrandPulse keeps sentiment, confidence and period comparison separate so a small sample cannot look more conclusive than it is.

Pulse score

Each customer result receives a sentiment value: positive 100, neutral 50, mixed 40 and negative 0. The Pulse score is their rounded average. Market-context results are excluded.

Confidence

Fewer than 8 customer results, or evidence from only one source, is Directional. At least 8 results across 2 sources is Medium; at least 20 across 2 sources is High.

Change over time

BrandPulse compares the selected period with the immediately preceding period of equal length. A change above 2 points is Warming, below −2 is Cooling and between them is Stable. Without prior evidence, it shows Not enough prior data.

Sources and freshness

Current on demand, clear about coverage.

Brand views show when the latest successful search occurred. When a refresh is due, BrandPulse checks available sources and updates the view; result counts can rise as new conversations appear or fall as older ones leave the selected date range.

Source cards show what was searched and what contributed. BrandPulse does not claim to capture every online mention or continuously monitor every brand.

Responsible interpretation

AI-assisted analysis still requires judgement.

Language, sarcasm, limited context and incomplete source access can affect automated interpretation. BrandPulse keeps original links and coverage limitations visible so users can review the evidence before acting.
